Visit counting (Google Analytics)
To understand how many readers this site reaches and from which countries, it uses Google Analytics 4 — but only if you allow it. When you first visit, analytics is off: a banner asks whether we may count your visit. If you decline (or ignore the banner), no analytics cookies are set. If you accept, Google Analytics records standard usage signals — pages viewed, approximate location at country/region level, browser and device type — associated with a random identifier, not your name. Your choice is remembered in your own browser and can be changed by clearing this site's data.
The measurement is used solely to understand readership. There is no advertising on this site, no ad personalization, no sale or sharing of data for marketing, and no cross-site tracking initiated by us. Google processes analytics data as a service provider; its practices are described in Google's privacy policy.
The feedback form
If you use the feedback form, what you write — and your name and email, if you choose to give them — is emailed directly to the site's editor and used only to consider and reply to your message. Nothing from the form is stored on the server or shared.
Server logs
Like nearly every website, the hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps short-lived technical logs of requests (IP address, URL, time) for security and operations. These are managed by the host and expire automatically.
What this site does not do
No advertising. No social-media embeds. No fingerprinting. No selling or renting of any data. No analytics at all unless you opt in.
Questions about privacy can be sent through the feedback form.
